Penstemon digitalis, also known as White beardtounge, is a great mid-season flowering perennial that grows in wet meadows and open sunny areas. White beardtounge grows to be about 3-5' tall, with tall panicles of white flowers. The basal rosette is an attractive, low growing clump of dark green leaves with hues of purple on the underside. The beautiful flowers will turn into intricate seed heads, which dry standing upright, creating fall and winter interest.
