Mouse Guard/Entrance Closure

Adjusts to fit 8 or 10 frame hives. (NOTE: As pictured, this piece is being used as an entrance closure. Turn it over so the cutouts are facing down to use as a mouse guard.)

This mouse guard for beehives serves as an entrance closure and reducer, as well as a mouse guard.

Place it over the entrance to hive with the large openings down to serve as a mouse guard, keeping mice out of the warm, cozy hive during the winter. Flip it over to use as an entrance closure when moving hives, or slide the metal adjuster to create a small entrance opening for a weak colony.

We use wood screws or push pins to attach these guards to the front of the hive.
