Hands-On Hive Inspection Class MAY

We all know that we're supposed to inspect our hives. But what the heck are we looking for in there?

Join us in the apiary for a hand-on experience. We'll open up a hive together and see what the bees can teach us. From suiting up and lighting a smoker, to proper hive etiquette, to tip s for locating the queen, we'll share what we've picked up over the years. 

We learn something new from the bees every time we open up a hive. While this class is appropriate for those brand new to beekeeping, it is for anyone that desires a deeper look into the hive. We'll cover the basic things that we are looking for when we do our inspections, point out what we're seeing, and talk further about what to do if an issue arises. This class is a fun one!

For safety reasons, participants will be required to bring their own protective gear for this class. Gloves will be provided.

Space is extremely limited for this class in order to keep our groups small.
